Fortunately, we had the use of the hotel room until 6 PM before leaving for the airport and our 10:50 PM flight home. It was a very rainy day, so we just lazed around all day, eating at the hotel. To get to lunch we had to grab umbrellas and go over by the pool to a grill. The food was good, but we were done with eating for a few weeks.

The car to the airport was fine. I was glad that I wasn’t driving. Three lanes, moving slowly, each separated by a string of much more rapidly moving motorcycles driving between the cars. A quick pizza for dinner so that we could take some cough suppressants in case they wouldn’t let us bring the open bottle through security and then we went through security easily and then had to travel the longest maze of duty free shops that we had ever seen. A cart took us from there to the gate. Our flight left on time and got to Atlanta as scheduled and our flight from Atlanta to Albuquerque was on time. Our bags survived, and Josh picked us up at the airport. We were home by 1:30 Friday afternoon to a very happy dog.

This trip far exceeded our expectations. Hope everyone has enjoyed the pictures and commentary. Stay tuned for BJ and Alan’s next great adventure, coming to a computer near you in the Fall.

Thanks to Gayle Polansky for this picture of DiDi.
