Day 1, Sept. 26

A year and several months ago, Alan brought me home covid from his music camp stay. In return, for his 75th birthday, I gave him a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. Here we are, finally in country as they said in the Vietnam War.

We flew first to Seattle and then stayed overnight there.

We flew the next morning on Japan Airlines, first to Tokyo (10 hours) and then to Hanoi (6 1/2 hours). We slept some but ate more. Wd had chosen the Japanese food menu and the food just kept on coming!

We made it early to Hanoi, breezed through immigration and customs and then were outside of the airport in the traffic and with people everywhere, car horns honking, and heat and humidity. Luckily the rep from Uniworld   found us (or we found him) and took us to our hotel.
