We didn’t leave Puerto Madryn until midnight so this morning, the captain announced everything in Montevideo would be pushed forward a couple of hours. Glad it’s not all canceled as Alan is looking forward to going to the soccer museum tomorrow.

Today we had a late breakfast and while Alan played soccer afterwards on one of the upper decks, I went to the cooking demonstration. Watching the head chef and the maître d’ was like watching Abbott and Costello. It was really funny. They cooked fettucine alfredo, scallops over ratatouille and tiramisu.

Later I watched the port presentation for Montevideo. As I left, Alan was waiting outside the theatre, and we went to lunch. The people sitting next to us were from Greensboro, N.C. where Alan did his residency, so we talked quite a bit and missed the port presentation on Buenos Aires. It is repeated on the TV, so we will get to see it. Back to the room where I read and sat in the sun and Alan napped. Tonight was the third formal night, so we dressed up and went to that. The assistant waiters did the ritual baked Alaska snake dance around the dining room. It looked like they have gotten smart and use plastic baked Alaska and battery-operated tea lights. Not my favorite ship board ritual.   On the way back to the room, we stopped to listen to the Man vs. Woman question game consisting of True-False questions that were sex specific. For example, what did women answer if they were asked whether or not women expected men to read their minds. It was a lot of fun. Tomorrow, Montevideo.
