Brrrr…..we woke up this morning to thunderstorms and much cooler weather. We have been spoiled with pretty good weather so we can’t complain. I think the cooler weather might bring some of the Autumn leaves color down here.

After breakfast and a walk down Main Street, we went to the Mother-in-Law restaurant in order to meet the owner who also runs the Haviland China Museum in St. Charles. Ever since we decided to stop here, I have been excited about going to this museum. To say that Alan is less interested in it is an understatement. He stayed at the restaurant and I had a great time seeing this amazing collection. I have my great-grandmother’s Haviland and this piece in the museum is very similar to it.

We walked a little more, had lunch and came back for naps. Alan either has bad allergies or a cold and so is trying to not overdo.

This evening we met at The Vine on Main with some online friends of mine from SlowTrav. It was good food, good wine and great conversation. Thanks Jen and Deborah for coming over to St. Charles. Come out to New Mexico so we can do this again!
