Day 12-An Ode to Slow Travel
Well, maybe not an ode but today was one of those days that you can have and appreciate when you are a Slow Traveler. We did absolutely no tourist stuff. None. Yes, we actually got up by 8:30, and had showered and eaten by 10. Yes, it was sunny and lovely and we had the door wide opened. So what did we do? Two loads of laundry, reading and a trip to the grocery. We ate all three meals in the apartment including gnocchi and pesto that we picked up at the Market. Here is a view from the walk to the Market.
Today at noon with the door opened, we could hear the church bells from all around ringing. I think that Venice has once again worked her seductive spell on us!
A perfect day, I say.
I can certainly understand your enchantment with Venezia!
Sounds like a faraway dream only its close up for you and Alan. Happy for you!
Sometimes, a day like that is all you need.
