A Quiet Sunday
One of the best things about staying awhile in one location is that if you want to spend a day doing nothing, you can without guilt. Let me say that was my attitude today. Alan went out three times, once to the bank, once to the Venice Marathon and once to find the supermarket closed. I did jigsaw puzzles on the computer, played games on the computer and read. We both then cooked dinner. Here are a few marathon pictures:
Dinner was from the Marcella Hazan book Pork Chops with Sage and Tomatoes. Ever since Marcia B and Doug P were talking about this recipe on Facebook, Alan has wanted to make it. We also had roasted eggplant, zucchini, pepper and Treviso radicchio. Chocolate salami was dessert. Not a bad meal at all.
My kind of Sunday. Yours – not Alan’s. He was WAY too energetic.
I did that in Istanbul a couple of times. I sat out on the balcony and watched the street. Much more entertaining in Istanbul than in Placitas. Enjoy!! love, p
