We had a somewhat later wake-up call so that we could get breakfast and still get to the trail to the Brazilian side of the falls before the park opened at 9:30. The trail was mostly a gentle downslope with about 70 or so steps down spread out over the 2 or 3 kilometers. More butterflies and now some coatis as we walked closer to the Brazilian falls. The trail was getting a little wet as we approached the falls. There were beautiful views everywhere. Eventually we were right next to the falls at the same height as the falls.

From there we took an elevator up to the road and caught the back to the hotel where we showered, dressed and finished packing for our checkout and evening flight to Rio. Then we took the shuttle back to the top of the falls, where there was a nice buffet. We killed the rest of the afternoon reading and then went to the airport and our flight to Rio. It was dark when we arrived in Rio di Janeiro and so we didn’t see much on the drive to the Sheraton Hotel and Resort. Lots of interesting street art, but that was about all we saw. We checked in and went to bed.
